This position will be responsible for executing fully developed print, web design solutions, with an awareness and sensitivity to brand values. The right candidate will have exceptional talent combined with the motivation, energy, and inspiration to bring to life unique and outstanding work. At least five years professional experience in both web and print design is required. Agency experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities & Attributes
• Review & interpret strategic messaging & creative briefs
• Collaborate w/team, AD/CD/VP to develop conceptual direction
• Demonstrate an understanding of integrated marketing strategy
• Gain and exhibit a thorough understanding of clients’ businesses and industries
• Provide & present prepared rationales for concepts & design decisions
• Exhibit expert knowledge of typographic skills
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of CS5: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop.
• Possess good oral and written communication skills
• Passionate for creative excellence, innovation & measurable results
• Work as part of a team—and independently—from concept through completion
• Have strong conceptual skills responsible for visual development and creative execution of print, web and multimedia projects
• Transform clients’ marketing/business goals into effective, original design solutions
• Have superior organizational and management skills, efficient working style, with ability to meet multiple deadlines concurrently
• Able to meet high standards for quality, accuracy and still maintain budgets under tight deadlines

Secondary Attributes
• Client-facing experience preferred
• HTML, CSS, Flash or After Effects knowledge is a plus

StudioNorth is looking for a Senior Interactive Designer who lives and breathes digital interaction design. Someone who can understand the business requirements of our clients and translate them into experiences our clients will love. Someone who has broad experience, who communicates well, and who can be an evangelist for thoughtful and effective client solutions. Working in the Creative Department under the supervision of the Interactive Art Director, the Sr. Interactive Designer combines design theory with a user-centered design process that includes consideration for content, navigational structure and usability, to create a powerful, integrated experience. Attention to detail and a keen understanding of current standards, trends and best practices are a must.

Required Skills:

Experience in developing user profiles, use scenarios, task flows, prototypes and information architecture
Solid understanding of latest versions of Mac OS, Photoshop and Illustrator
Ongoing familiarity with prevalent standards and trends, including: HTML, CSS, Flash, JavaScript, responsive web design, mobile interfaces

Additional Skills:

Wireframing and site architecture
Front-end coding in HTML and CSS
Open source CMS systems such as WordPress, Joomla, Drupal
Prototyping, motion graphics and animation
Social network experience
Application/tool design experience
