Responsibilities:

• Transform clients’ marketing/business goals into effective, original interactive solutions
• Review and interpret strategic and/or design briefs
• Gain and exhibit thorough understanding of clients’ businesses and industries
• Demonstrate general understanding of integrated marketing strategy
• Apply expertise in color theory, typography, composition, iconography, and imagery
• Concept and storyboard ideas based around thematic and branded messages
• Push beyond current design trends to create compelling interactive experiences
• Understand user-centered design, including user profiling and usability methodologies
• Pursue and share the latest news, trends and techniques of web media design
• Lead design team in visual development and creative execution of interactive designs
• Exhibit good oral and written communication skills
• Show enthusiasm and passion for creative excellence and measurable results
• Work as part of a team, or independently, on projects from concept through completion
• Maintain strong organizational skills to meet multiple deadlines concurrently
• Achieve high standards of quality & accuracy under tight deadlines

Requirements:

• 4+ years experience in web media with strong interactive and usability design skills
• Minimum 4-yr, post-secondary degree in design, communications, or other related field
• Thorough knowledge of all steps required in the creative development process
• High quality graphic design portfolio that demonstrates typographic expertise and professional online projects
• Proficiency in all Mac-based, industry-standard software including, but not limited to, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash
• Understanding of After Effects, Flex and ActionScript is a plus
